Get to Know Chase and Scott
Chase Henry
Chase Henry is originally from south west Wyoming, but now lives in Covington Kentucky. He did his undergrad at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. It was here that he first became interested in whiskey. A trip to Scotland at 20 paired with the opening of High West Distilling pulled him into the world of whiskey.
He then lived in the United Kingdom on and off for 5 years, only deepening his passion for the amber spirit. In 2019 he moved to the Cincinnati area before finally settling in Covington. He began working in a bourbon bar where his passion shifted from Scotch to Bourbon.
His quest to learn as much as he could about Bourbon specifically and whiskey in general, led to his discovery of the Council of Whiskey Masters. After passing the level one exam he was invited to be one of the first candidates to take the Master of Bourbon Exam at Buffalo Trace in 2023. He passed and became one of the first five Masters of Bourbon in the world.
Since then he has continued to grow his whiskey knowledge and passion culminating in taking and passing the Master of Whiskey exam in 2025 at Garrison Brothers in Hye, Texas. Chase loves to share his knowledge and passion for whiskey to anyone who is interested, and occasionally those who aren’t.
Outside of whiskey Chase is an avid fan of rugby union and hockey. He loves to go skiing and whitewater rafting when he has the opportunity.
Scott Sargent is a passionate educator, spirits enthusiast, and master of creating memorable moments. With a deep love for learning and teaching, Scott has dedicated his life to gaining and sharing knowledge while trying to inspire others to reach their full potential. His enthusiasm for education goes beyond just the bar setting, extending into every aspect of his professional and personal endeavors.
Scott has cultivated a rich appreciation for all things alcohol, from fine wines, to craft beers, to wildly experimental cocktails. He approaches the world of spirits with the same intellectual curiosity and dedication he brings to education, seeking out unique flavors, histories, and the artistry behind every bottle.
Scott's true talent lies in combining his passions to deliver unforgettable experiences. Whether he's leading a spirited tasting event, curating an educational seminar, or hosting an immersive workshop that blends knowledge and entertainment, Scott's charisma and expertise leave a lasting impression on everyone he encounters.
